Condition report

Good condition. A small faint stain in the lower left corner. Verso: blank. Mounted onto an old album leaf.

Note: the original by Rembrandt was quite hard to identify. To our opinion the print shows the most similarity with the painting ‘Old man with a beard and a beret’, currently attributed to an anonymous follower of Rembrandt. However, there are also similarities to the etching ‘Bearded man in a velvet cap with a jewel clasp’ (Bartsch 313).

Note: the original painting is held in the collection of the Saint Bonaventure University.
